Do I need to own a truck to drive for Propane Taxi?

Yes, you need to own a pickup truck to be a Propane Taxi driver. Because we deliver propane, the cargo has to be in a separate compartment from the driver. SUV's or vans cannot be used for these deliveries, it must be a pickup truck.

How do I get paid?

Unlike Uber or Lyft, you are guaranteed to make money while driving for Propane Taxi. We will create a route for you for the hours you choose to work. The route will have many deliveries, and our app will guide you through the route. We pay you for each stop you do, tank you deliver, mile you drive, and hour you work. You'll learn all of the details as you go through the driver training

Is delivering propane safe?

At Propane Taxi, we take the safety of the drivers and of our customers very seriously. All of the tanks are precision filled, and the valves tested to ensure no leaks. We will teach you how to safely lift the tanks (they weigh about 32lbs each) in and out of the truck, and how to safely secure them in the bed of the truck.

What are Propane Taxi's driver requirements?

It's simple. First, you need to be over 18 years old, and have at least 2 years driving experience. You need to be able to lift 30-40 lbs consistently. You need to own a pickup truck that's in good operating condition (and looks like it's in good operating condition. Propane Taxi is a great place to earn some extra money. If you're looking for part time work to fund some hobbies or vacation plans, or just to augment a retirement.
